"An Arabian...

Arabian horses are the topic of many myths and legends. Their mystic origin is tells Muhammad chosed his best mares by testing their courage and loyalty. After a long travel through the desert, Muhammad turned his herd of horses loose to run to an oasis for a desperately needed drink of water. Before his herd reached the river, Muhammad called for his horses to return to him. Only five mares returned. From now on these five mares became his favourites, named “El Khamsa” – The Five. The myth believes all Arabian horses are descended from these five mares…
Today, almost every breed and type of horse has traces of Arab blood and all English Thoroughbreds.

Affeldt Arabians
Welcome!
13-11-2011
We are delight to welcome you in the name of the Affeldt Family. We are not a big famous stud – we are just a family with just a few arabian horses, living on a normal farm, just right in the centre of Germany… and we love it!
In 2001 we decided to concentrate our breeding on pure-bred arabians. Only a few months later we received our great chance after a long and intense conversation on the terrace of Family Stoeckle, Stud Osterhof, Germany: During vacation in Bavaria, we decided to vivist Osterhof Stud. Since years their famous stallion Kubinec was the face of European breeding and we hoped to buy a foal of this excellent stallion one day. Ingrid Stoeckle took kindly the time to show their wonderful horses, listening patiently our plans and ideas and after a cup of coffee she smiled and said: “O.k., I can see what you mean. I will give you Kadiah! Actually I wanted to keep hold of her but I still have Swana. Now you will have the chance to start your own breeding reasonably – but do it reasonably!”
Thank you very much, Mrs. Stoeckle. Well, we will do our very best!

In 2012 we are expecting our youngest member the family: Kadiah by Kubinec is in foal to Kalif OS. The unique combination of these successful Arabian families is an acquired taste!
Kalif OS is sired by the fantastic World Champion Stallion Marajj and son of the beautiful chestnut Khaleifa, both proudly owned by Albidayer Stud, United Arab Emirates. Feel free to contact us in case of further interest.
